Goolwa Aquatic Club Speed Boat Club
The Goolwa Aquatic Club is the home of power boating on the South Coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Aquafest at Goolwa is held annually and is a weekend for the whole family with all the sights and sounds of power boats featuring outboards, hydroplanes,classic boats, skiffs and modern boats.
The 2019 event celebrated the 60th birthday of the Goolwa Aquatic Club. The Club was first established in 1959 by a group of local speedboat enthusiasts and was founded on speedboat racing.
The Club's first Commodore was Jack Newcombe of Goolwa and he held office from 1959 to 1963.
The Goolwa Aquatic Club prides itself on a strong local atmosphere and encourages all types of boating activities and aquatic disciplines. The Club has a strong community spirit and supports worthwhile causes.
The Goolwa Aquatic Club would like to sincerely thank all its sponsors, members and supporters throughout its 60 years.
