Goolwa Aquatic Club Sailing
Dinghy Sailing
The principle purpose of GAC Sailing is to provide a safe, harmonious, family friendly sailing experience for both competitors and spectators and for the encouragement of junior sailors making the transition to racing.
Races are for monohull dinghies with a yardstick equal or greater than 95 and multihulls with a yardstick equal or greater than 113 and are conducted to the best ability of the available volunteers on the day.
Good sportsmanship and mutual respect between competitors is expected.
Dinghy Sailing takes place on Sundays during the summer months followed by a brief winter program. All craft are welcome within the yardstick ratings above with a strong fleet of Sabres and other mixed dinghies including Tasars, Lasers, Mirrors and Finns. Junior classes including Optis, Cadets and 303s regularly race.

Membership for sailors requires membership to both Goolwa Aquatic Club Inc and GAC Sailing. For the upcoming season, the two required memberships are covered by the one form, which is available on line or at the Club.

Junior Sailing
GAC has a long history of Junior Sail training over 25 years.
The club runs a very popular junior learn-to-sail program in early January each year - details can be found on the Sail Training program page.
Junior sailors are encouraged to join in the afternoon racing throughout the season; additional junior sail training is conducted on selected dates, and also available through the various dinghy class associations.
