Come and enjoy the ‘Goolwa Aquafest’ classic speedboat event.

Experience the sights and sounds of classic and modern race boats. A rare opportunity to be able to get close to the boats in the pits and see some heart pumping action on the water.

​

It’s a weekend full of beautiful vintage, classic and modern race & speedboats strutting their stuff at the Goolwa Aquatic Club.

You will see vintage wooden hydroplanes, skiffs, classic old wooden race, and ski boats, plus fibreglass classic race & ski boats right up to modern style race boats.

​

When not in the water the boats will be on display in the pit area and accessible to the public who want a closer look.

The event is fully catered and family friendly with food stalls and the lawned banks for spectators to set up and get comfortable.

The GAC clubrooms are licensed, and Bombora on the River is adjacent for those that want to eat in style (recommend that you book)

​

This is a full two-day event with the boats taking part in formalised heats where common styles of craft take to the water and put on a demonstration of the golden years of speedboat events.

​

Weather permitting there is a Hot Rod & Classic car display. Top all that of with a vintage aeroplane flyover buzzing the crowd, and it’s an action-packed day on land, on the water and in the air.

Admission is FREE both days for spectators.
